Haas does have quick code cenversational option so that shouldn't be an absolute advantage to hurco. Service is great, with haas which is necessary due to their slightly substanderd parts to meet the price point.haas vs hurco cnc Hass VF2 We have been offered a new Haas VF2 with most of the extras: 4th axis table, 2 speed gearbox, side toolchanger, Coolant thru spindle, etc. We, obviously, like the fact that its practically the same machine, and it would be a plug and play operation to start working, and the deal is really good (at least for this part of world).
The HAAS are more reliable than the Hurco's, cheaper for parts, service is actually better for us on the HAAS ( Hurco has no local support). The HAAS control is a good G code control, Hurco is a good conversational control.

Sincehaas vs hurco cnc I've ran HAAS's VF-2 and VF-4 machines in the past, and I would say Hurco has the edge over HAAS when it comes to rigidity. The HAAS's VF series just don't have what it takes when you push them hard in harder materials like steel and tool steel, and it seems it the tools like to stick in the spindles more often too. Would you choose a Hurco or Fadal VMC? Any control can be learned. A machine is just a machine. If the price is right, and the machine is tight, I'd make money with any of 'em. But I like my VF3 and the Haas control would be the standard against which I judge the convenience of the rest of 'em. The Fadal and Haas have more traditional hard wired, firmware based, propraitery controls, and are much more stable (rock solid in fact) in my experience. Since your going to be modelling in Inventor, and programming in Gibbs, I can't really see how the conversational programming of the Hurco will really buy you much.
